Wheel line expanded to accommodate heavy-duty industries
- April 17, 2024
- Product Release
- Materials Handling
Hamilton Caster has announced the expansion of its Nylast wheel line to include sizes up to 24 in. dia., tripling its current load capacity of the series. Crafted from solid-cast nylon, the wheels offer high impact strength for industries with demanding conditions.
The wheel material is formulated with finely divided particles of molybdenum disulfide for enhanced load-bearing capability while preserving the impact resistance inherent to nylon. From the face to the bore, the wheels are CNC machined to strict tolerances to ensure consistency, the company states.
The larger wheel diameters enable the company’s Super Duty and Extreme Duty caster series to handle heavier loads, such as those in the aerospace and defense, ship- and bridgebuilding, and construction sectors.
The wheels withstand high load capacity while their lighter weight imparts less overall PSI on the contact area to prevent damaging floors. Their low rolling resistance when moving heavy loads helps minimize friction and save energy.
