Welding power source supports ferrous, nonferrous alloys

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced the MTS 3500i multiprocess, fourth-generation inverter power source for GMAW, GTAW, or SMAW.

The unit supports a selection of ferrous and nonferrous alloys in GMAW mode, using fixed slope and inductance controls. Digital preset of voltage and amperage on all processes is accessible on the front panel. A switch on the back panel provides selection of primary voltage.

Other features include adjustable arc force, Touch Lift TIG™ start capability, and an Auto Fan™ feature that automatically turns the fan motor on and off as needed for energy savings. The machine operates on single-phase or three-phase power.
