Software developed for vision system

Xiris Automation Inc. has developed a software package for vision systems.

The Laservision™ software is a 3-D machine vision software package designed for tube applications requiring accurate, repetitive measurements. The software can function as a precision measurement tool, a locating system, and a feature presence/absence inspection system. It can provide 100 percent inspection of high-speed production volumes, according to the manufacturer. The system runs on Windows® 2000 and XP using VB or Visual C++®.

The company has used the software to develop a vision system to evaluate V angle, mismatch, and edge presentation during forming in production of welded tubes.
