Contact tips for robotic applications introduced

American Torch Tip has introduced a line of GMAW contact tips available in various materials.

The tips, designed specifically for robotic applications, help decrease wear and extend the life of the consumable tip. They also incorporate an Ag alloy tip that provides conductivity up to 98 percent. The improved conductivity helps to decrease arc start failure and lessen spatter at the work area, the company reports.
