QY Group-China opens Tritube USA

QY Group-China has opened Tritube USA in Baytown, Texas, the group's first manufacturing venture in the U.S.

The manufacturing facility has four forming/welding lines that produce ASTM A500/A513 cold-formed, welded carbon steel mechanical tubing and ASTM A135/A795 fire protection sprinkler pipe. Mechanical tubing is available in sizes 1/2 through 3 in. with wall thicknesses up to 0.120 in. Fire protection sprinkler pipe is available in sizes up to 3 in. in various wall thicknesses.

Management anticipates that more than 30 people will be employed by the organization.

Merfish Pipe & Supply, Houston, serves as the exclusive sales agent for much of the Midwest, South, and Southeast.
