September 14, 2004

Roland Electronic’s SND40 weld seam detector is designed to handle difficult positioning tasks in tube bending machines, hydroforming presses, and other tube processing machines.

The unit combines digital signal analysis, eddy current technology, flux leakage sensors, and optical sensors to detect weld seams. The PC-based unit features a graphical touchscreen user interface with fieldbus and Ethernet. It can be used for all metal tubes ranging in diameter from 5 to 500 mm.
