ABB Robotics automates storage system manufacturer’s arc welding operation

Swedish storage system manufacturer Brännehylte installs two arc welding robots and two material handling robots to improve the throughput, cycle time and quality of its steel beam welding operation. The four robots are simultaneously controlled by ABB’s IRC5 MultiMove robot controller. The new system is very easy to program and can quickly adjust to handle and weld seven different sizes and types of beams.
