Fully integrated vacuum lifter with manual tilting handles compact metallic loads

A fully integrated vacuum-hoist lifter with manual tilting, designed to handle compact metallic loads in pick-and-place assembly applications, has been introduced by Anver Corp.

Featuring a custom pickup suction pad, the VM series is suitable for assembly operations and feeding machining centers. The lifter/tilter eliminates metal-to-metal contact and the problem of magnetization, the company reports.

The unit uses compressed air and the venturi principle to hold the load securely, while the electric chain hoist provides up and down movement to maintain position without drift when stopped. This capability allows one person to handle small parts weighing up to 250 lbs. A VLS-8 vacuum leakage sensor is standard for leak detection.
