Portable welding unit powered by built-in lithium-ion rechargeable batteries

According to Fronius, its AccuPocket 150/400 is the world's first MMA welding system with a high-performing lithium-ion rechargeable battery. With an overall weight of 24.25 lbs., the system is portable for manual electrode welding and GTAW.

A fully charged battery delivers power to weld up to eight 0.13-in.-dia. electrodes or 18, 0.09-in.-dia. electrodes. The integral rechargeable battery can momentarily deliver very high short-circuit currents when necessary during welding, which prevents electrode sticking. At the same time, the AccuBoost electronics help ensure high welding voltage at high power and prevent the arc from breaking.
