Central McGowan expands automation capabilities

Central McGowan Inc., a provider of robotic welding automation, has opened a 12,000-sq.-ft. automation manufacturing facility adjacent to its headquarters in St. Cloud, Minn. The staff and equipment from Pro-Fect Automation, which Central McGowan acquired earlier this year, have now moved from Little Falls, Minn., to the St. Cloud facility.

Allan Holst has been hired to manage overall operations as director of automation. He has more than 30 years of experience working for manufacturers of welding equipment and CNC cutting machines.

Mike Helmbrecht, Corey Jelinski, and Willy Novak, previous owners of Pro-Fect, manage sales, service, and manufacturing, respectively.

The acquisition and new facility expand Central McGowan’s automation offering to include FANUC authorized system integrator status, fully engineered specialty hard automation, and robotic automation systems.
