Barton Mines Co., Glens Falls, N.Y., a supplier of waterjet abrasives and waterjet replacement parts, has announced the expanded capacity of its HPX™ waterjet abrasive processing facility in North Creek, N.Y.
The increased production is a direct result of a comprehensive plant re-engineering and expansion that commenced in September 2007. "The additional volume comes at a time when demand for HPX has grown exponentially," said R. Randolph Rapple, president.
The HPX abrasives have a unique structure that produces sharp angular crystals and are a clean cutting media, the company states. The abrasives are offered in eight grades.
