Rust stripper works in spray, immersion applications

Chemtool Inc. offers Rust Rid water-based rust stripper. With a near-neutral pH of 6.50 to 7.50, the product is suitable for removing rust from cast-iron alloys, tool steels, and all carbon steels. It is slightly less effective on stainless steel alloys, the company reports.
The product is most suitable for removal of surface and blush rust. Containing no caustic, toxic, or hazardous components, it can be used for processing a few parts or for full-scale rust removal operations.
The rust stripper can provide uniform coverage in high-pressure spray applications, and it is suitable for immersion of complex parts.
