FMA Communications Inc., Rockford, Ill., has announced that its publications have won four American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) awards.
Tim Heston won a Silver National Award in the case history category for "Need a light—now?" from the October 2011 issue of The FABRICATOR®, and also a Silver Regional (Midwest/South) Award in the organizational profile category for "How metal makes music" from the October 2011 issue of The FABRICATOR.
Kate Bachman won a Silver National Award in the case history category for "Biomass gets famous window-maker out of a logjam" from the November/December 2011 issue of Green Manufacturer®. The magazine also won an APEX Award of Excellence.
Amanda Carlson won a Bronze National Award in the case history category for "A journey of 1,000 welds" from the May/June 2011 issue of Practical Welding Today®.
