Herr-Voss Stamco receives slitting line order

Herr-Voss Stamco, Callery, Pa., recently received an order for a new slitting line featuring a Strand Extensioner®. According to the manufacturer, the technology provides evenly rewound coils while keeping the slit material level and reducing burrs.
The line processes material with thicknesses from 0.012 to 0.25 in. with an incoming coil capacity of 50,000 lbs. by 72 in. wide. The slitting line also includes the manufacturer’s quick-change injector slitter head system, which allows operators to change slitter heads out of the line.
