Hobart Institute of Welding Technology hires new instructor

Tom Sumerix has joined Hobart Institute of Welding Technology, Troy, Ohio, as an instructor, teaching various courses in the technical training department.
Sumerix is an AWS-certified welding inspector/educator. He received his associate degree in welding technology from Muskegon Community College and his bachelor's degree in career and technical education with a minor in welding technology from Western Michigan University.
Sumerix previously worked for 20 years as a welder and served as a welding instructor/industry trainer at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis.
