Commercial Metals Co. receives air permit for Oklahoma micromill

Commercial Metals Co., Irving, Texas, has received a new source air permit from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. This permit authorizes CMC, from an environmental air quality perspective, to construct a micromill in Durant, Okla.

The company, which manufactures, recycles, and markets steel and metal products, now can begin construction in preparation for installation of the mill equipment. Commissioning of the micromill is expected in fall 2017.
