Nonwoven products finish all types of metal parts

Norton Abrasives has introduced the Norton RapidPrep™ line of nonwoven discs, belts, and wheels for the metal fabricating industry. The nonwoven substrate has an improved resin bond system designed to eliminate smearing and loading and improve edge wear. The line is available with an engineered Norton Vortex grain technology and aluminum oxide grain.
The aggregate grain is a composite of smaller grains combined into a larger grain particle. The products provide blending, cleaning, and light flash removal on all types of metal parts. A high cut rate helps reduce cycle times by up to 50 percent, the company states.
