ITW purchases Georg Fischer Rohrverbindungstechnik GmbH

Georg Fischer Ltd., Schaffhausen, Switzerland, has announced it has sold its capital shares of Georg Fischer Rohrverbindungst echnik GmbH, Singen, Germany, to Illinois Tool Works Inc., Glenview, Ill.
As a result of the sale, ITW gets enhanced access to the process piping industry. Georg Fischer Rohrverbindungst echnik GmbH continues operations in Germany and employs approximately 50 people. It manufactures orbital tube and pipe cutting machines.
