Grinding wheel for aluminum leaves no unwanted residue on workpiece

The SGP Whisper-ALU reinforced grinding wheel from Pferd Inc. features a patented design that allows it to grind aggressively on aluminum and nonferrous metals while reducing noise and vibration and eliminating clogs. With no fillers, the wheels leave no unwanted residue on the workpiece; ground surfaces can be welded immediately without further treatment.

Designed for use on angle grinders of all output levels, the wheel is suitable for work on weld seams and for grinding surfaces and fillet welds. It is available as a Type 27 depressed-center wheel in 4.5- and 5-in. dia. with a 0.25-in. thickness. It also is available with a 0.875-in. unthreaded arbor hole or a 5/8-11 quick-change hub.
