CNC introduced for cutting systems

Hypertherm has introduced the EDGE® Connect CNC for plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems. It includes the newest version of Phoenix™ software, as well as CutPro Wizard™ for job setup and an introductory version of ProNest® CNC nesting software.

This added software allows table operators to create part programs directly from the CNC. For example, an operator could accommodate an urgent job using an available part file or quickly select a standard shape when the offline ProNest software programmer is not available.

Hardware upgrades include a 19-in. touchscreen, a quad core processor, solid-state disk drive, and EtherCat® connectivity. The CNC offers SureCut™ technology, which simplifies 2-D and 3-D cutting through the automatic inclusion of optimized process parameters in support of a variety of applications.
