Electrodes meet military specifications

Select-Arc Inc. offers two low-alloy steel, gas-shielded, flux-cored electrodes with military specification approvals.

The Select 820-Ni1 produces 1 percent nickel weld deposit and welds steels that require low-temperature CVN toughness and moderate tensile strength (80,000 PSI). Specially formulated slag constituents provide good puddle control, fast freezing characteristics to facilitate welding in all positions, a smooth bead profile with minimal convexity, and low spatter.

Select 810-Ni2 delivers 2 � percent nickel in the weld deposit.
