Laser cutting system has flying optics, automated sheet handling

Salvagnini offers its L1 laser cutting machine, which includes flying optics designed to optimize the performance of the beam, along with automatic sheet handling, simplified programming tools, and nesting software.
The system converts imported CAD drawings into laser cutting programs. Parts are nested automatically, and cutting sequences are optimized with a honeycomb algorithm designed to optimize blank usage and common cuts to minimize scrap.
The system allows automatic unloading and stacking of individual parts and calculation of part production costs from production lists.
