Plasma spray gun controller offers touchscreen, scroll wheel control
Oerlikon Metco has introduced the UniCoatPro™ single-process plasma controller. The compact unit is designed for use with conventional or cascading arc (SinplexPro™) plasma spray guns.
The operator controls the entire spray process via a touchscreen. Hot buttons provide quick access to frequently used screens. A scroll wheel allows the user to scroll through recipes or trending data. The standard trending and reporting package aids parameter monitoring and development and quality control. Features include a multilingual user interface, the ability to store spray parameters, and responsive digital mass flow control for process gases.
A multilevel monitoring and alarm system notifies the operator of out-of-range conditions and shuts down the system in critical situations. The built-in remote maintenance system allows the manufacturer to analyze and troubleshoot the customer’s controller remotely via a secure Internet connection.
