Rolls-Royce to invest nearly $600 million in Indianapolis facility

Rolls-Royce has announced it will invest nearly $600 million to modernize its manufacturing operations in Indianapolis and to conduct technology research.

Upgrades will include new manufacturing and assembly operations. The five-year modernization plan also will consolidate operations and reduce utility costs.

The company produces engines for a variety of military and commercial aircraft, as well as marine propulsion systems.
