SpaceClaim, SigmaTEK announce direct integration of software products

SpaceClaim®, Concord, Mass., has announced that its SpaceClaim Engineer 3-D direct modeling software now can be directly integrated with SigmaNEST® CAD/CAM nesting systems from SigmaTEK Systems LLC, Cincinnati.

This integration, which is embedded in the CAD/CAM system, ensures that manufacturers using the direct modeling software have seamless transition from 3-D CAD to NC programming for almost all cutting machines.

"Direct model to shop floor production eliminates the need to export models into … neutral file formats, slashing downstream rework, accelerating productivity, and ensuring that design integrity is maintained," said James Lindsey, SigmaTEK Systems product manager.
