LA-CO Industries Inc. acquires Tempil

LA-CO Industries Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill., has acquired Tempil®, a division of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW). With the addition of Tempil's new temperature-indication technologies and capabilities, LA-CO — manufacturer of Markal® industrial marking and temperature-indication products — is positioned for growth in welding and industrial markets.

Tempil's product line includes temperature-indicating sticks; electronic surface thermometers; infrared thermometers; medical sterilization inks; weldable primers; heat-absorbing coatings and compounds; and temperature-indicating labels, strips, inks, and liquids. Its business operations will continue independent of LA-CO Industries' global business operations.
