Tool tests integrity, strength of welds used in attaching studs to sheet metal

Mountz has introduced a weld stud test tool for testing the integrity and strength of welds used to attach threaded studs to sheet metal.
A mechanical test with the tool provides manufacturers with test results. To test the shear torque of a weld stud, the user applies a straight pull of the tool (no side load). When the wrench breaks over and the weld stud is still attached, it has passed. If the weld stud breaks off, it has failed.
