A relatively new joining process, friction stir welding (FSW) produces no fumes; uses no filler material; and can join aluminum alloys, copper, magnesium, zinc, steels, and titanium. FSW sometimes produces a weld that is stronger than the base material.
Compared to conventional laser processing machines, the OPTIPLEX Fiber significantly increases the productivity of thin worksheet cutting with impressive accuracy and cuts up to 0.875” in CRS. The laser is designed to process reflective materials with greater thicknesses and at greater speeds than its CO2 counterpart.
