roll feeds

 noun

Definitions

  1. Roll feeds generally have two rolls mounted on top of each other, which are set to pinch the material between them. As the rolls rotate, material is advanced through the die in the amount at which the feed is set. Roll feeds are activated by servomotors or mechanisms attached to the crank shaft of the press. These are set to rotate the rolls the required amount to advance the material through the die.
