setup blocks

Definitions

  1. Blocks or posts mounted to die shoes to assist the die setter in the proper positioning of mating punches and dies or the entering of punches into the die cavities to the proper depth. Setup blocks, with suitable spacers, also prevent damage to dies in storage from punch and die members hitting together. Also called stop blocks.
