AK Steel announces price increase for zinc coating extras
AK Steel said today that it will increase prices for zinc coatings by 70 percent, effective with shipments on April 1, 2006. The premium is being added to the company's current pricing extras for all galvanized steel products, includingZINCGRIP® hot dipped, galvannealed and electrogalvanized products.
The company said that the increase is being made in order to recover the record high cost of zinc that is used to coat galvanized steel sheet products.
