AK Steel receives dual awards from Toyota

AK Steel has earned dual supplier awards from Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc. The awards for 2004 performance, Superior in Quality and Superior in Delivery, were presented March 23 at Toyota's annual Supplier Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony held in Covington, Kentucky. The awards for 2004 marked the 11th consecutive year that the company has garnered two awards, and is also the seventh consecutive year that it has earned Toyota's highest level of recognition, Superior, in both the quality and delivery categories.

The company has surpassed an aggregate of more than 300 consecutive months with 100 percent on-time delivery performance to the Toyota and Lexus plants it serves in Kentucky, Indiana, California, and Ontario, Canada. It supplies steel for the Camry, Avalon, Sienna, Sequoia, Corolla, Tundra, Tacoma, Solara, Matrix and Lexus RX 330 vehicles produced in North America.
