IAM members ratify new labor agreement at AK Steel’s Middletown Works

AK Steel, West Chester, Ohio, has announced that members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local 1943 have ratified a new 42-month labor agreement covering about 1,700 hourly production and maintenance employees at the company's Middletown Works in Ohio.

The new agreement will take effect Sept. 15, 2014, and expire on March 15, 2018.

AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless, and electrical steels, primarily for the automotive, infrastructure and manufacturing, construction, and electrical power generation and distribution markets.
