JMC Steel Group to purchase Atkore's Allied Tube & Conduit facility

JMC Steel Group, Chicago, has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase and acquire the real estate, building, equipment, and improvements of Atkore’s Allied Tube & Conduit manufacturing facility, Morrisville, Pa.

This facility produced hollow structural sections and ASTM A53 Grade B standard pipe. JMC Steel Group will not operate this facility but will continue to service its customers from its 12 existing facilities in the U.S. and Canada, which produce hollow structural sections, standard pipe, and electrical conduit.

JMC Steel Group is an independent steel tubular manufacturer, producing more than 2 million tons of pipe and tubular products a year. Its two largest companies, Atlas Tube and Wheatland Tube, market products under their brand names.
