ESAB adds new manufacturing lines in Ohio plant

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products, based in Florence, S.C., has added two new wire drawing lines at its Ashtabula, Ohio, manufacturing facility. These lines produce wire for high-production SAW applications, increasing the company's SAW wire capacity.
The new lines descale, clean, and draw the wire to the proper diameter; coat it with copper; and package the product. The wire from the new lines will be used in coil and drum packages, including the new 2,200-lb. EcoCoil.
ESAB Welding & Cutting Products manufactures welding and cutting equipment and welding filler metals.
