ESAB, ABB enter welding automation agreement

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has signed an agreement with the Robotics Division of ABB Inc. to develop and market robotic welding packages and systems jointly.
The agreement allows the two companies to utilize the expertise and technologies of both to pursue business opportunities identified by either company. In particular, this agreement relates to the incorporation of ABB robot products, including all models of industrial robots and/or positioners manufactured or sold by ABB, with ESAB products related to robotic GMAW automation, specifically wire feeders, welding power units, and related equipment manufactured by ESAB.
