ESAB appoints VP of product management, development

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products, Florence, S.C., a manufacturer of welding and cutting equipment and welding filler metals, has added Michael J. Ostaffe as vice president of product management and development, filler metals, for North America. He is responsible for driving the company's programs in product management, product research, and development of filler metals. He also assumes the responsibility for marketing communications for all of the company's products in North America.

Ostaffe has held various management and consulting positions with Honeywell, General Electric, Philips, and A.T. Kearney. He has an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
