Lincoln Electric Holdings acquires Weartech

Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc. has acquired Weartech Intl., a privately held producer of cobalt-based hardfacing and wear-resistant welding consumables. With headquarters in Anaheim, Calif., Weartech has manufacturing plants in Anaheim and Port Talbot, Wales.

Lincoln Electric, Cleveland, is a manufacturer of arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment, and brazing and soldering alloys. The company has 42 manufacturing locations, including operations and joint ventures in 19 countries and a worldwide network of distributors and sales offices in more than 160 countries.
