Miller picks Pickwick as Arc Armor welder protection makeover winner

Miller Electric Mfg. Co., Appleton, Wis., has announced that Pickwick Mfg. Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is the winner of the FABTECH® Arc Armor® welding protection makeover. Pickwick received $15,000 worth of equipment, including CoolBand™ and CoolBelt™ welding heat stress-relief products, powered air purifying respirators (PAPR), Titanium 9400i welding helmets with integrated grinding shields, WeldX™ jackets, and Arc Armor GTAW and GMAW gloves. Pickwick certified welding inspector Ryan Selken entered the company — a specialty metal fabricator — in the contest at the FABTECH 2011 show in Chicago. The company employs more than 150 people.
