Colfax appoints ESAB vice presidents

Colfax Corp., a global manufacturer of gas- and fluid-handling and fabrication technology products and services in Fulton, Md., has named Kenneth D. Konopa as vice president of marketing for ESAB and Vincent Northfield as vice president of global manufacturing for ESAB.

Konopa is responsible for ESAB's strategy, product management, R&D, marketing communications, and automation business. Most recently president of Danaher Corp.'s Fluke Industrial and Ormco divisions, he has a strong background in industrial marketing.

Northfield is responsible for ESAB's equipment and consumables manufacturing worldwide. Most recently executive vice president of global operations for Teleflex Medical, he is experienced in global production networks and lean manufacturing.

Colfax President and CEO Clay Kiefaber is serving as acting CEO of ESAB following the resignation of Brendan Colgan.

ESAB is a manufacturer of welding and cutting equipment with headquarters in Florence, S.C.
