PennEngineering appoints vice president of global automotive

Danboro, Pa.-based PennEngineering®, a fastener manufacturer, has announced that Pete Beecherl has joined the company as vice president of global automotive. In this newly created position, Beecherl drives and coordinates strategic initiatives for the company worldwide across all automotive-related brands and businesses, including PennEngineering Automotive Fastener Co. Ltd. (PEAF), Profil, and PEM® and Atlas® brand fasteners and inserts.

Beecherl has a background in the areas of automation, engineering, and engineered parts, as well as expertise in sales and business development. He most recently served as vice president of engineering and business development at Acument Global Technologies (now Fontana) and previously held senior engineering, product management, automation, marketing, and sales roles for Emhart Teknologies, Textron Fastening Systems, Avdel, and Lamb Technicon.

Beecherl has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the General Motors Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Michigan.

He has offices in the PennEngineering (Danboro, Pa.) and PEAF (Shelby, Mich.) facilities.
