PennEngineering®, Pencom announce settlement agreement

Penn Eng. & Mfg., Danboro, Pa., and Peninsula Components Inc., San Carlos, Calif., have announced a settlement agreement of PennEngineering's lawsuit against Pencom for infringement of certain patents and trademarks. The original complaint was filed against Pencom Aug. 17, 2007, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

According to Mark Petty, president of PennEngineering, "This settlement reflects PennEngineering's emphasis to protect its intellectual property rights, including patents, brand names, product markings, logos, trademarks, and copyrights. PennEngineering invests heavily in innovation to provide its customers with leading-edge products."

The company develops and manufacturers fasteners, inserts, and blind threaded inserts, as well as fastener-installation equipment.
