AutoForm files patent infringement lawsuit against ETA

AutoForm Eng. GmbH, Zurich, Switzerland, has filed a lawsuit against Engineering Technology Associates Inc. (ETA), Troy, Mich., in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. The lawsuit involves AutoForm's United States Patent No. 7,623,939 (the 939 patent), entitled "Method for Designing a Tool for Deep Drawing and Tool for Deep Drawing of Sheet Metal."

AutoForm alleges that ETA willfully and deliberately infringed this patent with its eta/Dynaform software (Die Face Engineering Module). AutoForm is seeking an injunction to prevent ETA and its officers, agents, and representatives from further infringement of the patent. AutoForm also is seeking damages from ETA.
