Motoman partners with Agile Planet

Motoman Inc., an industrial robot manufacturer in Dayton, Ohio, and robotics software developer Agile Planet Inc. have entered into a technology partnership that integrates a customized version of Agile Planet's robot-independent Kinematix™ manipulation software and Motoman's dual-arm and other robots.

The partnership provides users with a family of robotic hardware and validated software featuring high-speed control, sensor integration, collision avoidance, telerobotics, and motion planning capabilities.

"Combining the SDA robots with the control software will enable a whole new set of applications for unstructured environments," stated Erik Nieves, technology director for Motoman. These systems will be available globally for commercial use and deployment through Motoman.
