ABB opens robotics manufacturing facility in Michigan

Zurich-based ABB has opened a new robotics manufacturing plant at its facility in Auburn Hills, Mich., which the company says makes it the first industrial robotics firm to produce robots in the U.S.

The portfolio of products manufactured at the new facility will expand in phases, with the goal that most ABB robots and robot controllers delivered in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will be manufactured in Auburn Hills.
