Xiris Automation appoints vice president

Xiris Automation Inc., Toronto, a producer of optical quality control equipment, has appointed Pierre Huot as vice president.

Huot is involved in several of the company's sales, marketing, strategic planning, and general business management functions. He has spent a number of years in the machine vision industry, most recently with Meta Vision, where he served as president of the Americas. He also has served as regional manager for ABB robotics. Huot has an M.B.A. and an engineering degree.
