Hess Industries appoints president, CEO

Hess Industries Inc. has announced the appointment of David Zenger as president and CEO for all operations and business activities worldwide. The announcement, made by Justin Hillenbrand, chairman of Hess Industries Inc., unites all Hess subsidiaries, Hess Engineering Inc., Capitol Technologies Inc., and X-Cel Steel Fabrication Inc., under one operational control.

Before joining Hess Industries, Zenger served as CEO and COO of VP Holdings, a building systems and components manufacturer with more than $500 million in annual revenues, five operating divisions, and a staff of more than 2,500. Before joining VP Holdings, Zenger was president/CEO of PEEK (Palmetto, Fla.), an international organization specializing in the design and marketing of intelligent traffic control products.

Zenger has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
