Formtek Group adds Elgin Fabrication Machinery to FMI

The Formtek Group of companies, which includes Cooper-Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), B&K, Dahlstrom, Engel, FMI, Hill Engineering, Iowa Precision Industries, Iowa Rebuilders, Lockformer, Rowe, and Yoder, has announced that Elgin Fabrication Machinery is a new division of FMI.

Elgin imports press brakes and shears from Formtek's partner company in China. The machinery arrives without electronics and controls, which will be installed at the FMI facility in South Elgin, Ill., by Axon Electric, a Mestek Company. An exclusive distribution agreement includes the U.S., Mexico, and Central and South America.

A full-service department located in South Elgin will offer training, maintenance, and spare parts for the machinery.
