Icon Machine Tool holds punching, bending seminars

On April 22 and 23, 2009, more than 80 fabricators from across the Midwest attended seminars in St. Louis and Olathe, Kan., to discuss advancements in TRUMPF punching and press brake bending technologies. The event was hosted by Icon Machine Tool Inc. of St. Louis, the exclusive distributor for TRUMPF metal fabrication equipment in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

Presentations were given by Mike Morrisette, TRUMPF punching product manager, and Shane Simpson, TRUMPF press brake product manager.

During the seminar in St. Louis, attendees visited Cambridge Eng. of Chesterfield, Mo., a manufacturer of direct gas-fired space heating technology, to view TRUMPF lasers, punching machines, and press brakes in action.

Attendees at the Olathe seminar toured the facility of Webco Mfg. in Olathe, a 110,000-sq.-ft. job shop that produces short- and long-run production parts using TRUMPF equipment.
