Coe Press Equipment ships progressive feed line
- September 7, 2010
- News Release
- Bending and Forming
Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has shipped a new progressive feed line to Royal Die and Stamping, Bensenville, Ill., a provider of stamped components to the automotive, electronics, and telecommunication industries.
The line can handle maximum coil widths of 18 in. with 8,000-lb. coil weight capacity. It is designed for the processing of medium-gauge coil roll steel up to 0.090 by 18 in. and 0.120 by 9 in.
The line features a ServoMaster SM1-18 servo feed with an adjustable-height mounting bracket, a 12-ft. effective loop length, and a CPPS-250-18 power straightener controlled by a Coiltek ultrasonic loop control and a Trabon automatic lubrication system. Coils are handled by a CPR-8018 single-end coil reel with hydraulic threading and mandrel expansion features.
For staging and loading, the system features a traveling upender designed with 18-in. vertical lift to handle coils with ODs up to 60 in. This allows Royal Die and Stamping to receive the coils in a horizontal position.
